The Sturt’s Desert Rose, Gossypium sturtianum, is a woody, compact shrub with attractive mauve flowers. It is the official floral emblem of the Northern Territory and its name is a tribute to explorer Charles Sturt, who came across the shrub during his journey through Central Australia in 1844.

This detailed brooch is made from laser-cut and layered acrylic pieces. Each piece is hand assembled and hand painted with care in limited quantities.

It measures 61mm (w) x 60mm (h) with a horizontal locking pin on the back.

Designed, cut and assembled in Australia.

**Please note** Marbled and glitter acrylics can differ from piece to piece. It may take on a slightly different pattern and colours or even have tiny flaws. This is unavoidable but it is rarely even noticeable.

Please be aware that the colours of my jewellery may be slightly different from those on my website due to camera settings and individual phone and computer screen settings.
